Princess Dress
Halloween has been one of the most enjoyable and popular holidays for
children of many ages now for so many years as most of us already know. Do you know what the most popular
costume was last Halloween? Go ahead, take a wild guess. No, it wasn't something from Harry Potter or Lord of
the Rings. It wasn't a classic witch or a warlock. It was none other than a princess dress. How funny is that? I
guess we males of the world should realize that we're clearly out-numbered. I can't believe I didn't even know
this before last week. And my daughter has been a princess twice on Halloween already. Not to mention the
countless times she dresses as some sort of princess just for fun. So all you parents out there, who don't know
what to dress your tiny girls up as on Halloween, this is a sure-win. Nothing beats the classic princess
costume.
I can't even begin to remember how many different movies I've seen with princesses in them.
The Disney ones alone are endless. Now, if you have a young daughter and you live in the United States, odds are
that you'll be purchasing a Disney princess dress at some point or another. My daughter is now seven and I've
bought four of them. First it was Belle on her fourth Halloween, then it was Princess Jasmine from Aladdin, then
Cinderella, and finally Snow White. Regardless of whether or not these characters are all considered true
princesses is so irrelevant. My daughter says they're princesses. I can hardly argue with that.
It's funny how powerful the princess dress is. Young girls glance at it
in awe and dream of being that lucky girl who becomes a princess. But, what it they're dreaming of? It is the
money and servants, because the real-life princesses I've seen are not all that attractive. Anyway, I will
probably never grasp the true grandeur of being a princess and why all the young girls pretend with their
adorable princess costumes. One thing I do know for sure is that if you get your little lady all dolled-up in
her cute princess dress, she will receive oodles of candy from adoring parents and grandparents on Halloween
night. This is inevitable. It's worked for us twice, and it will work for you as well. Especially with all the
elderly women. There must be a certain nostalgia when they peer down at a small girl in her princess dress.
There are always plenty of ooh’s and aah’s and isn’t she beautiful she looks such an angel and as many of
us will probably be thinking at that very moment if only they knew!
